About Me
My career has not taken a traditional path. I have a bachelors degree in Economics and, while I love its logic, I returned to school to pursue a new love – art. I got an associate's degree in Graphic design and Illustration. After working briefly as a graphic designer I craved something slightly more structured and began to learn about User Experience Design, my true passion.
I love this field more than I thought possible and am driven to learn and push my skills as far as I can. I’ve officially been in the UX industry now for 5+ years and in that time have been able to:
• establish and grow a UX/UI team
• educate co-workers on UX’s place within a company
• manage and mentor a team of 4+ fellow designers
• define a research process and system where there was none
• facilitate communication and idea generation through workshops
• create a design system with defined processes for maintenance
• recommend data and analytic gathering
• advocate for accessibility best practices and
• ensure all designs are user-focused and cohesively branded.

The need to capture beauty and improve efficiency does not stop when I clock out. You can usually find me working on some kind of skill or project like organizing a messy tool shed, photographing clients, training horses, planning events, designing a logo, or perfecting my charcuterie boards.
